Alyssa Marso

Owner & Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Hi, I’m Alyssa Marso (she/her), a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and co-founder of Mind & Body Wellness. I am passionate about providing compassionate, accessible, and whole-person mental health care that helps individuals feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout their healing journey. My nursing career began with a diverse clinical background in medical-surgical nursing, oncology, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and crisis psychiatry. Through these experiences, I became deeply drawn to the lasting impact of mental health care and ultimately specialized in psychiatric treatment. I completed my Advanced Practice certifications (AGNP, FNP, PMHNP) through Maryville University between 2015–2019 and later earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2024. My clinical experience includes crisis psychiatry, outpatient psychiatric care, emergency medicine, and caring for individuals across the lifespan. I also have additional training in addiction medicine, which helps me provide individualized, evidence-based support for those navigating substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. When creating Mind & Body Wellness alongside my wife, Sara, our vision was to build a supportive telehealth practice that removes many of the barriers people face when seeking mental health care. Too often, individuals struggle to access services because of transportation limitations, provider shortages, long waitlists, demanding schedules, or restrictive insurance models. We wanted to create a practice where care feels more accessible, flexible, affirming, and genuinely connected. My approach to treatment is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual. I believe mental and physical wellness are deeply interconnected, and I strive to create a safe, judgment-free environment where clients can feel heard, respected, and supported while working toward meaningful and sustainable change. Your story matters, your experiences matter, and your wellness matters. It is truly an honor to walk alongside individuals as they move toward greater balance, healing, and well-being.

Sara Marso

Owner & Behind-the-Scene Guru

Hi, I’m Sara Marso (she/her), co-founder of Mind & Body Wellness and the behind-the-scenes support helping keep everything organized, connected, and running smoothly each day. While Alyssa leads the clinical side of the practice, my role focuses on creating a welcoming and supportive experience for both current and prospective clients. From scheduling and organization to client communication, social networking, and day-to-day operations, I work to help ensure individuals feel comfortable, informed, and supported from their very first interaction with our practice. Mind & Body Wellness was built from a shared vision between Alyssa and me — to create an affirming, accessible, and compassionate space where people can seek mental health support without fear of judgment or stigma. I am passionate about helping create an environment where every individual feels valued, respected, and genuinely cared for throughout their journey. As someone who deeply believes in the importance of connection, empathy, and community, it means so much to be part of a practice that prioritizes whole-person wellness and accessible mental health care. Watching Mind & Body Wellness continue to grow has been incredibly meaningful, and I’m honored to help support the heart behind what we do every day.
